Romblon's Bonbon beach makes the 2024 World’s Top 50 Beaches

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) --  Bonbon Beach, Romblon has been recognized in the prestigious 2024 World's Top 50 Beaches list. This is according to a post by the Department of Tourism (DOT) Mimaropa, further solidifying the MIMAROPA region’s status as a premier destination for beach enthusiasts worldwide.

Bonbon Beach, known for its powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters, joins another gem from Mimaropa region, Entalula Island in El Nido, Palawan, in this year's ranking, showcasing the region's exceptional coastal offerings.

Additionally, Hidden Beach, also located in El Nido, has been elevated to the Hall of Fame status in the "best of the best" category, following its consistent rankings among the top beaches globally.

The 2024 World's Top 50 Beaches list is curated by an international panel of travel experts and takes into consideration several factors including beauty, accessibility, cleanliness, and the extent of sustainable tourism practices implemented.

The list has been influential in promoting lesser-known destinations and contributing to responsible tourism practices around the world.

With Bonbon Beach’s entry into this exclusive list, the Mimaropa region is poised to welcome a surge of international visitors seeking serene and unspoiled beach destinations. (JJGS/PIA MIMAROPA)
