CSC releases results of March 2024 Career Service Exam

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced the results of the nationwide Career Service Examination- Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) held on March 3, 2024.


17.20 percent pass rate

A total of 57,683 individuals passed the exam, representing a national pass rate of 17.20 percent. The breakdown for each level is as follows:

  • Professional Level: 51,311 passers out of 297,952 examinees (17.22% passing rate)
  • Subprofessional Level: 6,372 passers out of 37,433 examinees (17.02% passing rate)


Regional performance

  • Region IV achieved the highest passing rate with 23.36 percent (9,473 passers out of 40,549 examinees).
  • NCR and Region III followed closely with 23.30 percent (12,690 passers out of 54,468 examinees) and 23.12 percent (4,541 passers out of 19,642 examinees), respectively.


Checking results, claiming certification

  • The complete list of passers can be accessed on the CSC website (https://exam.csc.gov.ph/) or the CSC Examination Portal (https://www.csc.gov.ph/).
  • Both passers and non-passers can generate their individual test results until May 19, 2024, through the CSC Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS). Paper reports will not be mailed.
  • Successful examinees can claim their Certification of Eligibility (CoE) for free starting June 13, 2024, at their designated CSC Regional Office (RO) or Field Office (FO). It is recommended to confirm availability before visiting.


Eligibility and appointment

  • Professional Level Passers: Granted Career Service Professional Eligibility, required for permanent appointment to government positions requiring at least four years of college education.
  • Subprofessional Level Passers: Granted Career Service Subprofessional Eligibility, suitable for government positions requiring less than four years of college education.
  • The CSC emphasizes that passing the exam grants eligibility but does not guarantee government employment.
  • Applicants must still meet all qualification standards for specific positions.
