TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA) -- The Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC), along with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) of Regional Offices 5 (Bicol) and 10 (Northern Mindanao), conducted a site inspection to monitor the progress of the Panguil Bay Bridge project here.
Vice Governor Allan Lim, who is also the head of the PPMC and Committee chairperson on Infrastructures, joined the guests at the construction area of the soon-to-be longest sea-crossing bridge in Mindanao, linking Lanao del Norte to the province of Misamis Occidental.
Meanwhile, Project Manager Marlon V. Galerio from the Department of Public Works and Highways, accompanied by site engineers of Korean contractors Namkwang-Kukdong-Gumgwang Joint Venture, provided detailed updates on the project's advancements.

As of January 22, the completion stands at an impressive 88.33%, with the incremental launching method (ILM) successfully executed on both the Tubod and Tangub sides and the ongoing construction of the main bridge portion.
The 3.7-kilometer bridge holds significance as one of the region’s catalytic projects under the government’s flagship Build, Build, Build program. The NEDA Region 5 delegates, headed by Engr. Ellezer Adan, Chief Economic Development Specialist, expressed enthusiasm for the project's potential impact on regional infrastructure and was delighted to observe and hopefully implement such a major project in their region.
After the site inspection, Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza-Dimaporo extended hospitality and hosted a luncheon at her residence, Villa Romana, where they could see the full picturesque view of the Panguil Bay Bridge. (PIO LDN/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
