PSA turns over 2022 CBMS data to LGU Salvador, Magsaysay

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA) -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) turned over the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System data to the municipalities of Salvador and Magsaysay.

Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza Dimaporo expressed gratitude to the PSA for their support and emphasized the importance of embracing the opportunities presented by the gathered data.

"Let us utilize the information wisely and steer towards progress and resilience while addressing population challenges," she said.

Meanwhile, PSA Supervising Statistical Specialist Gregorio M. Violeta presented the CBMS results. The data covered various aspects, including the percentage of households experiencing skipping meals, access to electricity, and the employment rate in each municipality.

Salvador, with 2,096 responding households and 6,596 household members, and Magsaysay, with 4,720 responding households and 15,419 household members, were the focal points of this comprehensive analysis.

Moreover, PSA-10 Regional Director Judith C. Aves underscored the purpose and importance of CBMS in the pursuit of economic development. She highlighted how this valuable information guides the government in tailoring specific programs and initiatives to address the unique needs of each community.

Among the nine municipalities participating in the 2022 CBMS nationwide rollout, Sapad, Salvador, Linamon, Matungao, Tangcal, and Magsaysay municipalities have already completed their data collection and turnover, while Kauswagan, Pantar, and Tagoloan, on the other hand, are yet to be completed.
