416 disadvantaged workers in Magsaysay town earn P1.6-M DOLE-TUPAD wages

MAGSAYSAY, Lanao del Norte (PIA) -- A total of 416 disadvantaged informal sector workers here earned a total of P1.6 million worth of emergency employment wages through the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program. 

DOLE Lanao del Norte Officer-in-Charge Chief Lawyer Safrali S. Cabili said each recipient received P405 per day for their 10 days’ work doing community service as the agency's emergency financial assistance to uplift, improve their living conditions, and boost their community’s economic stability.

Lou works as an information officer at the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 10.  She previously worked for the Task Force Bangon Marawi - Information Management and Strategic Communications Support Group (co-led by PIA) for almost five years and has been involved in the rehabilitation efforts of Task Force Bangon Marawi since July 2017.
