Maigo town hosts colorful 65th Araw ng Maigo, 14th Nangkaan Festival

MAIGO, Lanao del Norte (PIA) -- Maigo town celebrated its 65th Araw ng Maigo and 14th Nangkaan Festival to highlight cultural pride and pay homage to its abundant jackfruit harvests.

Maigo Mayor Rafael 'Paeng' Rizalda expressed gratitude to the community for their unwavering support of his administration and their active participation in the festivities. He also acknowledged the continued support of their development partners, especially the provincial government.

Residents and tourists enjoyed colorful displays of agricultural products at booths during the Agri-OTOP fair, alongside lively performances from two competing schools: Mindanao State University-Maigo School of Arts and Trade and Maigo National High School. Lou works as an information officer at the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 10.  She previously worked for the Task Force Bangon Marawi - Information Management and Strategic Communications Support Group (co-led by PIA) for almost five years and has been involved in the rehabilitation efforts of Task Force Bangon Marawi since July 2017.
