PCO flagship paper Philippine Gazette sees wider reach via new printing machine

MANILA -- The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and the Bureau of Communications Services (BCS) expect to boost their communications services with the delivery of one unit of brand-new two color Sakurai Oliver 226SI/SIP for the bureau’s printing capability.

“This brand-new offset will be of great help in expanding the reach of The Philippine Gazette, the flagship tabloid newspaper of the Presidential Communications Office and the Bureau of Communications Services,” the BCS said.

“The Bureau is excited to inform, empower, and engage more Filipinos of the President’s activities towards a more transparent and dynamic public governance.”

The brand-new two color Sakurai Oliver 226SI/SIP printer, delivered by Ferros Systemas Corp. on April 10, is an ergonomically-designed press with a solid frame and bed structure that can provide straight and perfecting modes of printing that can deliver up to 12,000 impressions per hour.

It is the first time the BCS has acquired a brand new printing machine.

It is also fully automatic, making it a very user-friendly machine for the pressmen, according to the bureau.

The BCS provides and develops communication services relating to policy formulation, communication planning, project development, research and evaluation, and coordination of information planning within the framework of the overall thrust and priorities of the national development plan. (PND)
