OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA) -- A total of 46 Misamis Occidental youth interns boosted their public service experience as they started their program orientation under the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE)-10 Government Internship Program (GIP) in Jimenez municipality and Oroquieta City.
DOLE-X Misamis Occidental Provincial Field Office Chief Ebba Acosta said discussions focused on the program guidelines; internship procedures involving them, government agency policy, and program development.
Additionally, the interns received a nine-module journal on GIP Life Skills Training (LST), which serves as a guide for their suitable career paths.
The internship began on March 21 and will run until June 28.
GIP provides opportunities to young workers, particularly the poor and indigent, to showcase their abilities and skills in public service. (DOLE-10/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
