Unite, organize, strengthen up, communicate, fight hard, PBBM tells PFP members

MANILA -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday called on members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) to coalesce to get the upper hand in next year’s polls and provide the best service to the Filipino people clamoring for unity and a stop on too much politicking.

“Uhaw pa rin ang tao para sa pagkakaisa, talagang sa aking palagay, hanggang ngayon ang tao ayaw na nila nag aaway, ayaw na nila ang walang nangyayari dahil puro pulitika na lang ang pinaglalaban puro, ganun ang aking naramdaman mula ng Mayo noong 2022 ay para sa akin, maliwanag na maliwanag ‘yan,” the President said during the oathtaking of the new members of the PFP at the Diamond Hotel in Manila.

“So, to the newly sworn in members to the PFP, welcome. We will make sure that you will find a political home here in the Partido Federal, and beyond that, let us work together, and let us continue to keep in mind that the best way for us to serve our people is to come together and to work as one,” he said.

President Marcos, who is the PFP’s president and national chairperson, asked party members to organize and strengthen the party as it gears up for the mid-term elections, keeping in mind that the best way to do it is to provide the best service to the people.

And for the party to succeed, it has to be very organized, with the members maintaining constant communication with one another, the President said.

“So, there’s the no way around it. We still have to do it. We still have to do the work. We still have to fight hard. There is no easy election. That is something that I’ve learned,” he pointed out.

“That is why we have to be very well organized, that we have to be in constant communication with one another so that we know what’s going on and at the very beginning, trabaho ito ng ating leadership ng ating Partido. Magkaroon tayo ng magandang plano hindi lamang para sa national, kundi para sa lahat ng LGU, para lahat. Sa mga distrito ng mga Congressman na kasama natin,” he further stressed.

The party’s next move is to organize a steering committee and then forge alliances with the different parties, he said. He added he has received positive feedback from other parties willing to partner with PFP.

Formed in 2018, the PFP is a national political party in the Philippines chaired by President Marcos.

During the run-up to the 2022 national election, the UniTeam Alliance was comprised of PFP, Lakas-CMD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), and Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), with guest candidates from other parties.
