PSA Oriental Mindoro now opens PhilSys registration to children aged 1 to 4 years old

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office has officially opened the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration to Filipino children aged one to four years old. To ensure an inclusive, secure and sustainable identification system, the PSA likewise aims to register Filipino children below five years old.

To register children, the accompanying parent must be PhilSys registered before the registration of the children in PhilSys.  The PhilSys Number (PSN) of the children shall be linked to the PSN of the parent or guardian for authentication purposes.

An original copy of supporting documents must also be presented to validate the demographic information of the child. Any of the following supporting documents will be accepted during the registration (1) Certificate of Live Birth issued by the PSA or the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO); (2) Report of Birth issued by the PSA or Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP); (3) Certificate of Foundling issued by the PSA; (4) Certificate of Foundling or Certificate of Live Birth or Persons with No Known Parent/s issued by the PSA; (5) Municipal Form No. 102 issued by the LCRO; (6) Philippine Passport or ePassport issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA); or (7) any document showing the full name of the child, date and place of birth, the full name of the mother, and the full name of the father, if acknowledged.

Only demographic information and front-facing photographs of the children shall be collected during PhilSys registration. The complete biometric information of the children including the fingerprints, iris scan, and the updated front-facing photograph shall be captured once they reach the age of five.

The PSA-Based PhilSys Registration Center located at Nuciti Central Calapan, Brgy. Camilmil, Calapan City remains open to walk-in applicants. Mobile registration activities are also continuously conducted in different cities/municipalities within the Province of Oriental Mindoro. 

As of 01 April 2024, mobile registrations are conducted in the municipalities of Baco, Naujan, Victoria, Socorro, Pinamalayan, Gloria, Bansud, Bongabong, Roxas, Mansalay and Bulalacao.

Furthermore, mobile registration services are continuously carried out in all public and private schools in Oriental Mindoro especially in Child Development Centers to register students in PhilSys.
